Two Dads

More from the “must I always be ahead of my time?” files:
In 2004 I collaborated with my old friend Michael Kaplan on a comic strip called Dads. Michael wrote and I drew. One of the syndicates showed interest. We considered our options and agreed: slaving over a strip that would have probably appeared in only a handful of papers wasn’t worth the trouble. Now I’m wondering if we should have pitched the idea as a TV show! Take a look at our “Dads” (below, top) and compare it to the “dads” that will be airing on Fox (below, bottom).
